Iringa
General Information
Iringa is located in its own region of Iringa in Tanzania. Situated above the Tanzam Highway Iringa is the third-largest town in southern Tanzania. It is an interesting town with spectacular views over the Ruaha Valley.
Surrounded by old German and Asian buildings is a market in the centre of town, which offers wonderful locally made goods. Woven baskets are made in Iringa from local reeds. The baskets are used across the country and are also exported.
Iringa is a stop-off for tourists heading to the Ruaha National Park.
