Mtwara
General Information
Mtwara is located in its own region of Mtwara in Tanzania. It is located near the border to Mozambique and is not really a major tourist attraction town despite it being the largest on the southern coast.
Mtwara has a deep-water port that accommodates large ocean vessels. The town is fairly spread-out and bicycles are a popular way of getting around - they can also be hired for the day.
